Sea Clamp, alongside Cicadacon and Ram Horn, was involved in an assassination plot, part of a ploy to take control of the Predacon army, and dispose of its then-current leader, [[Razorclaw (G1)|Razorclaw]]. The plot was thought to have succeeded, but in truth they did not manage to extinguish Razorclaw's spark. The Tripredacus Council employed Flamewar to check on [[Deathsaurus (Victory)|Deathsaurus]]'s operation on [[Ceti Alpha Seven]]. As Flamewar reported on the apparent success of Deathsaurus's [[Virulent Clone]]s, [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]] hacked in the feed and informed everyone of the impeding failure built into the Clones.
