'''David Russell''' (born [[December 13]], [[1950]] in Los Angeles) is a storyboard artist. His original choice of profession was to be a comic book artist, inspired by the work of Jack Kirby. After meeting Kirby who became a mentor to him, Russell continued his art education and began working as a storyboard artist on cartoons. After working on ''[[Star Wars (franchise)|Star Wars]]: Return of the Jedi'', he storyboarded on the likes of ''[[GoBots (franchise)|Challenge of the GoBots]]'', ''The Mighty Orbots'', ''Super Friends'' and ''[[The Transformers (cartoon)|The Transformers]]'' before succeeding in becoming the first African-American to join the Hollywood storyboarding union. Since then he has moved to storyboarding big budget live-action movies, including ''[[Batman]]'', ''Terminator 2'', ''The Chronicles of Narnia'', and ''X-Men Origins: Wolverine''.
