==Synopsis==

As fireworks burst in the air, [[Huxley Prescott]] covers a fire at a pyrotechnics factory. While [[Boulder]] and [[Heatwave (RB)|Heatwave]] fight the fire and save people from the ground, [[Blades (RB)|Blades]] tries to move in by the air. [[Charlie Burns|Chief Burns]] and [[Cody Burns|Cody]] try to move bystanders away, and the Chief reminds his son that that includes him. Nearby, [[Sharma|Mr Sharma]] is distracted by the fireworks and runs his forklift into supporting beams. Cody rushes in to get him out, but makes the mistake of going back for his [[hoverboard]]. The roof starts caving in, and Cody uses the hoverboard to deflect falling debris until [[Chase (RB)|Chase]] and his dad can grab him out of the warehouse.

After the team returns to the fire station, the others tell Cody off for running into a collapsing warehouse and Chief grounds him. The Bots think they can come up with a way to keep Cody safe, though their solutions of an extremely-padded suit and sticking him in the [[bubble tent]] aren't ideal. Cody decides to consult [[Doc Greene]] instead. Doc comes up with a solution based on the hoverboard, and invites everyone to the lab for a demonstration.

Doc Greene fits Cody with a repulsor badge, which deflects incoming projectiles and at full strength renders the boy invulnerable. Doc Greene warns him not to power it up to full too often to avoid overloads. Cody's soon helping [[Graham Burns|Graham]] change a tire on [[Edgar Prewett]]'s truck while [[Luskey|Mayor Luskey]] unveils a statue nearby. When Edgar's load of pipes comes loose, Boulder manages to stop two of them, but the third hurtles towards the group by the statue. Cody powers up his badge and manages to destroy the last pipe. Impressed, the Mayor and Huxley pronounce him a superhero and he accidentally coins the name "Rescue Boy".

Cody's soon setting himself up with a supersuit, while Chase and Blades consult comics for proper superhero procedure. Chief gives him a lecture about responsible use of the badge. Regardless, Cody next employs his superpowers stopping an out-of-control garbage truck by knocking down a tree. While he's interviewed by Prescott, Chief pulls him aside to tell him off and confiscate the repulsor badge.

Another emergency call alerts the team to a boy trapped up a transmitter tower while trying to retrieve a kite. As the high winds make it impossible for Blades to get close, the other Rescue Bots brace the tower while Kade tries to climb up, but he's blown off by the wind. "Rescue Boy" suddenly appears, grabbing [[Billy (RB)|Billy]] off the tower. Huxley tries to interview him, but Cody spots his very annoyed family waiting nearby. Moments later his badge starts sparking. With the badge overloading, Cody ends up trapped in a bubble of energy, with powerful arcs knocking aside any Bot who comes close.

Graham visits Doc Greene, who has a neutralizing glove that can penetrate the repulsor field. Boulder takes a bunch of robot-sized gloves to where Cody's still trapped and the Rescue Bots attempt to get near him. The field's power is too strong and keeps knocking them back. Cody comes up with an idea—if the Bots move slowly enough, they might not trip the badge's movement sensors. Finally Boulder is able to get close enough to pull the badge free and throw it into the air before it explodes. Cody is shaken but unharmed, and the Chief says maybe he can be on some rescue missions in future.
