* On [[December 7]], 2012, the dates and location of the convention were revealed on the official site.
* On [[January 31]], 2013, the first toy's robot mode was revealed via the official Transformers Facebook page: ''Machine Wars'' [[Hoist (G1)|Hoist]].  His alt mode followed on [[February 6]].
* On [[February 8]], 2013, the second toy's robot mode was revealed via BotCon's website: ''Machine Wars'' [[Skywarp (MW)|Skywarp]].  His alt mode followed on [[February 12]].
* On [[February 14]], 2013, the third toy's robot mode was revealed via BotCon's website: ''Machine Wars'' [[Strika (BM)|Strika]].  Her alt mode followed on [[February 19]].  
* On [[February 21]], 2013, the fourth toy's robot mode was revealed via BotCon's website: ''Machine Wars'' [[Obsidian (BM)|Obsidian]].

* On [[May 21]], 2013, a Saturday panel with the cast and crew of ''[[Transformers: Rescue Bots (cartoon)|Rescue Bots]]'', including all four Rescue Bots ([[Parvesh Cheena]], [[Steve Blum]], [[D.C. Douglas]] and [[Imari Williams]]) was announced.
