''Another Light'' is set in the ''[[Transformers: Shattered Glass (fiction)|Shattered Glass]]'' reality and follows up on the [[BotCon 2012]] comic "[[Invasion (issue)|Invasion]]", the Fun Publications/[[e-HOBBY]] story "[[Solar Requiem]]", and the 2013 club comic arc ''[[Beast Wars Shattered Glass]]''. More directly, it shows what happens to "[[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Mammoth]]"'s team of Autobots/Maximals after they traveled through an interdimensional portal to the future in "[[Shattered Destiny]]". ''Another Light'' also returns to address [[Nexus Prime (Classics)|Nexus Prime]]'s search for the [[Star Saber (Prima)|Star Saber]], a story thread which has been on the back burner for a while because [[Hasbro]] "took custody" of the character as part of their ongoing plans for the [[Thirteen]]. 

The title appears to be a reference to the starship ''[[Lost Light]]'' in [[IDW Publishing|IDW]]'s ongoing ''[[The Transformers: More than Meets the Eye]] comic series.

The arc is written by [[Jesse Wittenrich]] and [[Pete Sinclair]]. Art duties are being handled by [[Guido Guidi]], with [[Evan Gauntt]] on colors and Jesse Wittenrich on letters.
