Alessandra Trakker lived in [[Long Island]], [[New York (state)|New York]] with her husband Cornelius and son Matthew. She and her husband were overjoyed when they discovered Matt was an engineering genius at age 10. With Cornelius often away for work, Alessandra was left with most of the house work. In order to help her with this, Matt built a series of house cleaning robots to help her with chores. When Cornelius was mysteriously killed, Alessandra was heartbroken, but was comforted by Cornelius's co-worker and friend, [[Miles Mayhem|Miles Manheim]]. Manheim promised her that he would finish the work her husband started.

Years later when Matt was arrested, Alessandra called Manheim, hoping he might be able to pull some strings and get her son out of trouble. Manheim agreed, recruiting Matt to [[Project Spectrum]]. {{storylink|O Ship of State|Matt Trakker profile}}

As Matt prepared to kill the now openly evil Manheim, the villain made use of a fail-safe built into the [[Mask|Masks]] to use Eclipse's hard-light hologram projection to distract Matt with a hologram of Alessandra that told her "son" to spare Manheim's life.
