*As with other books produced in the UK during Generation 1, such as the [[Ladybird Books|Ladybird]] and [[Corgi Books|Corgi]] titles, all of the original art produced for this book is based off the toy designs rather than animation models.
*Also in the same vein as those other books, this follows Hasbro UK's take on the Transformers universe, though this is much more evident here. All of the characters featured in this book are those available in the UK in 1985, so the [[Constructicon (G1)|Constructicons]], [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]], [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]] and the like don't even merit a mention. Most notably the book repeatedly refers to the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]] as a four-robot team, omitting [[Swoop (G1)|Swoop]] (this is even a trivia question).
*Most of the information presented is surprisingly accurate, though a few errors did slip in. A crossword puzzle lists one of the Autobots as "[[Snarl (G1)|Snare]]". [[Laserbeak (G1)|Laserbeak]] is said to be "[[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave's]] main spy cassette" for some reason, and [[Skywarp (G1)|Skywarp]] is listed as being a purple jet rather than a black one.
*In the back pages of the book a second publication from Armada Paperbacks, ''The Transformers Data File'', is advertised. Based on the description, this seems to be a collection of Tech Specs for various characters.
