Because he and his father went [[fishing]] whenever his father had a birthday, Koji set out the next day to buy him a fishing lure for when they'd reunite. On encountering [[Sky-Byte (RID)\|Sky-Byte]], Koji asked him to pass on the birthday present to Dr. Onishi, who'd been abducted by the [[Predacon (BW)\|Predacons]]. Coincidentally, Sky-Byte was in the process of transporting a pod containing the doctor and tried to keep cool. Nonetheless moved by Koji's explanation of what the fishing lure meant, he agreed to do as requested, but was stopped from doing so by the arrival of the [[Autobot Brothers]].
