But because of his wide alternate mode, Crumplezone was left unable to pass any of the other racers during a narrow stretch on the race course. When Vector Prime, Optimus, and Leobreaker returned to the Jungle Planet, Crumplezone and Ransack were lying in wait for them, and pounced on the Autobots. Despite believing ''really hard'' in himself, Crumplezone was unable to defeat Leobreaker and Optimus in their "Savage Claw" mode, and was soundly thrashed by them. {{storylink\|Ice}} Optimus then met with [[Scourge (Cybertron)\|Scourge]] and tried to convince Jungle Planet's leader to hand over his Cyber Planet Key through diplomacy.
