'''Daniel Sanfilippo''' was an intern with the ''Transformers'' department at [[Hasbro]] from [[1997]] to [[2000]] as part of a co-op program with the {{w|University of Cincinnati}}. His job essentially consisted of hand-coloring lineart provided by [[TakaraTomy]] (largely [[Masakatsu Saito]]'s) to Hasbro design team specifications under the oversight of then-rank and file designer [[Aaron Archer]].<ref>{{citesocial|quote=With Transformers: Rise of the Beasts hitting theaters soon, I thought it would be fun to share some design work I did at my very first internship with Hasbro in 1997 on the original Beast Wars line. I had no computer, and did all renderings by hand with markers and then worked with the model shop to pick paints for the first paint samples and count up the amount of deco operations it would take to manufacture the toy. Just to be clear, designers at the toy company Takara in Japan would send us the line drawings of the characters, and I basically just colored them in. Still very cool to help create characters at the age of 19 that would become so iconic and be featured in a ground breaking animated TV show and now a major movie. And not a bad job getting paid to color!
