Shooter fires the impossible shot, taking out Ivana through the window of her cell. Her mission complete, she has just one question for the astonished Flint and Beach Head: who are they hunting? At Cobra Headquarters, deep within [[Cobra Commander]]'s secret laboratory, [[Destro]] has brought the Commander a new test subject: [[Major Bludd]], found beneath the streets of [[Paris]], missing both eyes. Based on his prior experience with Bludd, Destro believes that Cobra can give him the direction and vision he needs, especially now that the Commander has outfitted him with mechanical eyes to replace his lost ones. Bludd readily agrees to work for Cobra in exchange for these new assets. Destro leaves the Commander and Bludd to further test this experiment. Mercer then enters, reporting to Destro about his encounter with the Joes and [[Hound (G1)|their robot]]. This news concerns Destro, leading him to consider moving up the timetable on his plans to oust Cobra Commander. Mercer reminds him that the Commander inspires both loyalty and fear from the organization, using [[Ripper (G.I. Joe)|Ripper]]'s continued presence as an example. This makes Destro realize that he doesn't need to eliminate Cobra Commander himself. They just have to let his enemies get to him first.

Elsewhere, the [[Dreadnok]]s are weaponizing their vehicles to get them ready to hunt down Cobra Commander.
