Although his Quintesson foe blusters that his powers over life and death make him the only true power on this world, Grimlock easily cleaves the alien apart with his tail; as he dies in a pool of his own [[energon]], Grimlock recognizes the substance from his own world. Mortally wounded, the wizard explains that this "blood of Soltron" is the basis of ''all'' life in this strange world... as he dies, the Red Wizard spits that while ''he'' could've deposed the Golden One, Grimlock will not be enough. Having fled the destruction of their village, Arnak and a small group of Valerift villagers have followed Grimlock's army to the Rotlands and spy on the battle. Grimlock mulls over the Quintesson's words before he returns to the castle gates, hoisting the corpse of their fallen foe as a grisly victory trophy as his followers cheer. Grimlock recognizes Arnak amidst the crowd; although Arnak wants to know where his daughter is, Grimlock admits that he doesn't know. With the Golden One growing ever more erratic, Arnak tells the Dinobot that they need everyone on their side. This time, however, Grimlock pledges his support: if the Golden One derives his power from energon, then it's ''his'' problem. Grimlock agrees to join forces with the people of Valerift... and, far away, the Golden One welcomes an unexpected visitor to his citadel. Despite his warnings that Soltron won't forgive her transgressions, she just snarls that forgiveness is for the weak: Arko has come here to learn about Menonia's ''true'' power...
