Shortly after they finished the device, Nightshade was handed the opportunity to try it out when [[Robby Malto|Robby]] wanted to take his girlfriend [[Izzy (ES)|Izzy]] to a movie. A suitable venue was organized and the film ''[[The Alien Mole Bots Who Ate Philadelphia Again Versus Nucleadon]]'' threaded through the projector, however the first jump-scare resulted in [[Hashtag (ES)|Hashtag]] bumping the 3D printer button, resulting in a [[Mole Bot]] escaping from the film into the real world. The Mole Bot later used the projector to bring a flood of Mole Bots into reality, and the giant mama Mole Bot was even able to reach out and grab Robby and Izzy, at which point Hashtag turned off the 3D printer functionality and the pair were sucked into a simulated dimension created by Nightshade's projector. Though the pair were in danger of being trapped there forever if the film ended, luckily Nightshade was able to extract them in time, and most of the Mole Bots were destroyed by the Maltos. {{storylink|Attack of the Drive-In Movie}}<br />
