	In the [[Earth Defense Command]], [[Atari Hitotonari]] has made friends with [[Kayu Michikusa]], an easygoing girl who stays by Atari's side whenever she's sad. They've agreed to go out tomorrow, a prospect which excites Atari, who has gone through life without anybody to call a best friend. Her newly discovered happiness is interrupted when [[Ringo Chikuma]] shows up to slather some sticky honey all over Atari. The poor girl sobs for somebody to help her from her bully, and is elated when Kayu shows up. However, Kayu just stands by and doesn't intercede to stop Ringo's cruelty, unnerving Atari.
