	~~{{charstubfiction~~\|{{storylink\|Trigger Warnings}}}}		Many years before the Grand Uprising, Lidar was subjected to the [[Robosmasher\|Robo-Smasher]] by [[Overrun]], giving the [[Targetmaster (technology)\|Targetmaster]] an inside-man in the Iaconian police.

			After Overrun murdered his fellow Targetmaster Twirl to prevent anyone on Cybertron using her mecha-biology for their own ends, Lidar was one of the cops on the scene, along with Sitrep. As Sitrep handled the autopsy, Overrun realized the truth about Twirl would get out, and had Lidar bomb the MCSF morgue, which fatally wounded Sitrep and damaged Twirl's remains beyond analysis. In the confusion, Lidar went missing, Overrun keeping his unwilling agent at his workshop, Spark of Genius. When the investigating officer, Wolfang, discovered the truth and came to confront Overrun, the Builder had Lidar pretend to be him, banking on their similar builds fooling the MCSF officer long enough for Overrun to take him captive. {{storylink\|Trigger Warnings}}
