Eventually, Arden was forced to conclude that he did not recognize the metal, and unfortunately, without this knowledge, geologist [[Theodore Grant]] could not tell Bowen where to place the explosive that would free the titan from the ice. Bowen's demolition skills were soon put to a different use when [[Jetfire (~~ROTF~~)\|another of the metal man's kind]] arrived and attacked them; following the directions of Grant and [[Reginald Danco]], Bowen used his explosives to blow the ice sheet out from underneath the second robot, sending it to a watery grave.
