After the war had begun, [[Starscream (G1)/2005 IDW continuity\|Starscream]] acquired the passcodes to this vault and leaked them to [[Swindle (G1)\|Swindle]] as part of a plan to lure out the [[Combaticon (G1)\|Combaticons]] and have them return to the [[Decepticon]] army. The team took the bait and traveled to the Presidium in search of the weapons, instead finding Starscream waiting in the vault and agreeing to come with him.
