	Skylogic Systems captured the [[Autobot]] [[Ratchet (G1)\|Ratchet]]and, believing he was part of an invasion plan involving the creation of human/alien hybrids, brought him to their headquarters as a prisoner. Skylogic Systems then sought out scientists, among them David Simmons, to create a virus from Ratchet's D.N.A., one that would eradicate the hybrids. The virus wound up killing forty-three innocent residents of [[Winchester]], and though Simmons was horrified by this development, Skylogic itself saw fit to continue with its plans. In time, Simmons was tracked down by the [[Lone Gunmen]] and both [[Optimus Prime (G1)\|Optimus Prime]] and [[Bumblebee (G1)\|Bumblebee]]. After interrogating him, the Gunmen and the Autobots learned the address of Skylogic's headquarters, and staged a break-out for Ratchet. Upon Ratchet's release from his E.M.P. containment field however, an alarm was triggered and Skylogic agents swarmed the facilities. Though these security guards had weapons capable of paralyzing Autobots, they still failed to prevent their quarry's escape.
