During the war on Cybertron, [[Cliffjumper (G1)#Energon Universe|Cliffjumper]]'s entire clan was wiped out. Before leaving his lost home, Cliffjumper collected the remnants of his clan's [[sparks]], transferred them into a spark canister, wrapped the canister in cloth, and hid the canister beneath the ruined landscape. He reasoned that no one would look in a place that had already been razed. When the time came that the [[Autobot]]s could use a new warrior, Cliffjumper retrieved the spark canister with the help of [[Bluestreak (G1)#Energon Universe|Bluestreak]] and [[Elita One (G1)#Energon Universe|Elita One]]. The next step was to get it to the [[Well of All Sparks|Well of Sparks]] to create new life from the spark fragments, {{storylink|Transformers (2023) issue 16|Transformers #16}} in which he succeeded.
