When Epps rang around the people he knew to find those willing to venture into [[Decepticon]]-occupied [[Chicago]] with him, Stackhouse was one of the few who answered. When they arrived at the city outskirts, Stackhouse noted that the Decepticons were jamming communications citywide. Though the mercs were reluctant to go in, the arrival of the [[Autobot]]s and [[Sam Witwicky]]'s determination led them to enter the city. After Sam rescued his girlfriend [[Carly Spencer|Carly]], Stackhouse and the rest of the mercs ventured up into the [[Galileo Building]] so they could try to use their single rocket to take out the [[space bridge]] control [[pillar]]. During their second attempt to get off a shot, Stackhouse and [[Tiny]] tried to help steady [[Hardcore Eddie]] so he could take the shot, only for the [[Driller]] to hit the building. After barely escaping with their lives, Epps, Stackhouse and the mercs met up with [[William Lennox|Colonel Lennox]]'s [[NEST]] team and helped them attack the Decepticons. {{storylink|Transformers: Dark of the Moon (novel)|Dark of the Moon (novel)}}
