The remainder of the machine arrived safely at Doc Greene's lab, however as he was assembling it, [[Cody Burns]] triggered the remote control, zapping himself. The energy emitted from that half of the machine aged Cody to premature adulthood. Doc Greene set about modifying the components he possessed to try to reverse the effect without success, however when Evan and Myles attempted to break into the lab to steal the rest of the machine, Cody took the opportunity to try to get the stolen part back. During the ensuing chase, Myles zapped [[Kade Burns]] with the stolen piece of the device, regressing Kade to childhood. Myles subsequently tried to ditch the device into the sea during their escape attempt, but [[Boulder]] caught it.
