	Interesting debate. Its all very simple actually. The main timeline splits from the original timeline back in #78 i.e. 1986 not Time Wars. All the stories that appear to be apocryphal/out of continuity/ giving you a headache fit easily into this timeline.

	‘Aspects of Evil’ flashbacks: Megatron, Scorponok & Shockwave also fit here. The 2 Ladybird books ‘Autobot Hostage’ and ‘Decepticons Underground’ can also fit here. So Optimus Prime does somehow become a Powermaster temporarily in the original timeline.

	The whole thing about Galvatron seeing through the eyes of Megatron during Time Wars is just madness caused by the space time rift. It makes no sense. Galvatron is from an alternate future timeline. Megatron is an impostor/clone. If Galvatron destroys everyone before Transformers: the Movie then the Movie can’t happen so he will never be created.

	The rift repairs itself by creating a new timeline in which Galvatron never timejumped. Rodimus & Co. end up stuck in this new timeline. The main timeline is spared thanks to Shockwave blasting Cyclonus’s body into the space time rift in the nick of time.

	You know, Rodimus bemoans having "awakened the evil" in the unnamed Student, but, you know, considering the latter's attitude through the whole story, it seems more like Rodimus is just placing undue blame on himself and didn't notice the Student was pretty obviously evil from the start. 	2356... thats about the same time in the future that the Maximals and Predacons time-travel from. Has anyone given it any thought as to whether this future can coincide with the Beast Wars future? Although obviously neither character was written with the other in mind, I like to think that the student is Beast Wars Megatron before he becomes Megatron and that although he never gets to find Unicron as he said he would, it was Rodimus Prime's words that began the student's path into becoming Megatron. I have tot ake issue with Scorponk's tale (at least) being considered 'apocraphyl.' It takes place in Earthforce continuity, where Scorponok lost the Decepticon Civil War in US #72. IIRC, this is mentioned in The Magnificent Six! as well, which is another Earthforce tale. (And I'd bet that the Megatron tale fit there too.)

Aside the fct that it ''does'' fit in continuity... I'm really uncomfortable with the wiki throwing around terms like 'apocryphal', which is about one shade short of declaring an inconvenient story non-cannon. -[[User:Derik|Derik]] 18:58, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

:The time-travel does make it all very confusing. Rather than it happening in the Earthforce timeline, though, I'd say it makes a heck of a lot more sense for it to have happened in the original, unaltered "movieverse" timeline (Earth-120185, if you like), before history was re-written, post-Time-Wars. Like "Legacy of Unicron," it's an experience Hot Rod/Rodimus had before history was altered, but which he still remembers. Out of curiosity - it was my feeling that the Megatron shown in the flashback is actually Straxus-Megatron, since I had formed the impression he was operating out of Helix. :If the assumption that the original Galvatron (T2006-Time Wars) was made from Strauxs-Megatron (given that he remembers events through his eyes during Time Wars) is correct, and if one assumes as I do that the Megatron AoE story occurs in the pre-Time-Wars movieverse timeline, then logically, yeah, that would be Straxus-Megatron.
