There's no deadline for finishing an article, so one shouldn't find oneself pressed for time. One can always refine before posting if one has the guidelines in mind, or take a break after posting and go over the article again later. Yes, others can edit and clean up one's work, and when one contributes significantly with only minimal mistakes, it's not that terrible a situation.
