	:I've just looked and it's not clear at all. The character is in two panels, in the first block-coloured reddish-brown, which means nothing with Yomtov's colouring. In the second he's zapped and becomes yellow and blue trimmings but that could just be the effect of the ray. There are no signs of the missiles and until I saw this I never connected him with Ravage - but someone has put him there on the entry for "[[End of the Road! 	#~~REDIRECT~~ [[~~Talk~~:Ravage]]		Magmatron isn't wrong about Ravage's loyalties- historicly speaking. According to State Games, he betrayed the OVerlord not out of love of Megatron (so much) as love for HIMSELF. The Overlord represented a dead-end for Cybertron- and Ravage refused to sacrifice his life (or his continued service) for it. He planted his flag with Megatron, who he felt (and continues to feel up through BW era, on account of the Preds sontinued stagnation.)

			State Games was an absoluely brilliant story, int ersms of the background it constructs. The Megatron/Prime stuff everyone pays attention too is the least of what's 'going on' in it. It's probably the single MSOT INFLUENTIAL story on everythign that came after for TF, but no one actually THINKS about it. (Shy Shadow understood it completely. That's why he remains my favorite fan-writer. His stuff is completely brilliant.)

			:I find the parallels between Nighstalker and BW Ravage rather interesting; I mean, both ended up sacrificing themselves for the glory and loyalty of their respective leaders, sacrifices that ended up being in vain, in the end.

			I also can't help but notice a similarity in colorization between Nightstalker and Nitrostreak. Would be interesting if he was supposed to be the Timelines version of Nightstalker, eh?

			It sounds like Shadow Panther was originally intended to be a new character, and Hasbro simply repurposed the toy as Tripredacus Agent, similar to how [[Neo-Wheel]] became Universe [[Hot Spot (Universe)\|Hot Spot]]. On the other hand, his piddly little bio (as translated on TFU.info) doesn't really contradict him being Ravage. 			::Shadow Panther is a cover identity. He was supposed to be a Pred masquerading as a Maximal. Because of his propensity for hidign in the shadows before attacking, many assumed him to be Ravage (including Hasbro.) Making SP a seperate character could means 2 different things.

			I believe it is also possible that Shadow Panther is a "Tripredicus Agent", like Ravage, Tarantulas, and Flamewar. Its much more likely that Takara's intent wasn't to make Shadow Panther into Ravage since Beast Wars Metals wasn't released in Japan till 98-99 and Shadow Panther was released in 96. Hasbro most likely just connected the color scheme and released it with the new name (again for Trademark reasons) in 99. But the box still featured the official Japanese bio on it, which to me makes Takara's intent/ naming stronger than Hasbro's internet profile. 			I'm going to have to disagree with the assertion that Ravage doesn't use his robot mode in Beast Wars: The Gathering. Even in the panels shown, it's very obvious that the left panel is Transmetal 2 Cheetor's beast mode, and the right panel is his robot mode. 			He transforms into an all black cassette tape and inserts himself in his ship's tape deck in order to control it.

			Wow. Just wow. That's definitely the least realistic transformation.. ever.

			Actually, he doesn't even HAVE a Transforming clip. If you pay close attention, his curled up body is instantly switched out for a spinning tape deck. Also, I don't think he could control his ship in tape mode, all he actually did was play 80's hair rock for a few seconds.

			:The problem is that Beast Wars isn't explicitly part of the animated continuity, no more than it is part of the Marvel continuity. It sort of fits into pretty much every G1 continuity (except for IDW's), and thus putting it into the same section as another continuity wouldn't work. 	:I've just looked and it's not clear at all. The character is in two panels, in the first block-coloured reddish-brown, which means nothing with Yomtov's colouring. In the second he's zapped and becomes yellow and blue trimmings but that could just be the effect of the ray. There are no signs of the missiles and until I saw this I never connected him with Ravage - but someone has put him there on the entry for "[[End of the Road!
