[[Sentinel Prime ~~(G1)\|Sentinel Prime]]~~ and the Security Service arrive, rescue Decimus, and capture the crowd, leading directly into the execution of the Senate and the overthrow of ~~[[Kaon (polity)\|~~Kaon]] in #4. It's not like Megatron said "hey Hook, go trick out these Seekers especially so they can go kidnap Decimus", and the little monitor montage with Ratbat shows a bunch of stuff that Megatron's forces have been up to that looks like more than a few days work. A more extended period of general getting-up-to-no-good also allows for Megatron to have developed that reputation as a terrorist, and you also have to bear in mind the slight retcon that Shadowplay introduced of the Decepticon movement already having become a thing prior to MO, based on Megatron's writings, meaning that by returning to Cybertron and parading around with a Decepticon badge Megatron was basically declaring himself a ~~terrorist~~ by default, even if he himself had yet to personally do that much stuff. 			So where does this gap in time take place? I see two spots: after Starscream's recruitement but before the strike on Decimus, or after the strike but before Sentinel's raid. This either greatly expands the time it took to modify and prep the Seekers, or the time it took Sentinel to locate the missing Senator Decimus after his kidnapping. Megatron's remark upon first meeting Shockwave that he may be considered "terrorist or freedom fighter" doesn't make sense when he was just an illegal gladiator, pushing it towards the second gap.
