Since the main page is not cleared for summary yet, I'm putting my notes here for now.

New page

The first episode is eleven minutes long. It's up at:
http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/BQFI_9W_dNU/?resourceId=0_06_02_99
My summary follows:

Modern-day Japan. A lad and his father have hiked to the top of Mount Fuji, where the boy playfully lobs a stone into the inactive volcano's mouth. His father chides him, saying he might anger the gods of the mountain. Unseen by the departing pair, the stone tumbles deep into the chasm, causing a rockslide which reveals the head of a Predacon in stasis. The Predacon's eye lights up and a red energy stream blasts into the sky, giving rise to four more energy streams from other parts of the mountain. Four Predacon monsters burst from underground and roar.

This awakening is observed on a viewscreen by Beast Hunter Optimus Prime, who watches the red Predacon signals pair up and move in opposite directions away from Mount Fuji. Each Predacon pair is moving toward a cluster of three blue signals...

Meanwhile, a typical Japanese school is letting out for the day and young Isami Tatewaki hurries home eagerly. He engages in Kendo practice under the watchful eye of his grandfather, defeating his sparring partner but still suffering a furious scolding from his elder sensei. Once practice is done, Isami and his grandfather bow before a shrine whose centerpiece is a red (and distinctly toyetic) disk. At that moment, two of the Predacons approach from the air and smash to ground in the back yard. Isami's grandfather wonders if the monsters are Oni even as they spot the red object and make a grab for the "Legendisk." Grampa dives and saves the Legendisk, narrowly avoiding being crushed by the covetous Predacon's claw. He tosses the Legendisk to Isami, charging him with its protection. Isami dashes out of the house as the angry Predacons wreck the place.

The two Predacons transform, revealing themselves as Budorra (the red, dragonlike one) and Gaidorra (the blue quadruped). Isami runs through his neighborhood in an attempt to escape, but the Predacons' pursuit threatens to lay waste to the town. Finding himself at a playground Isami turns and faces the Predacons, urging them to stop lest his town and its people be destroyed. Taking the hint, Budorra threatens to kill two children on a slide unless Isami hands over the Legendisk. Isami is enraged, and his "burning justice" activates the Legendisk!
