I only listed "Call of the Primitives" because that's the only one from season 3 I know for certain that TMS did. However, both "The Killing Jar" and "The Dweller in the Depths" have animation models that look a lot like TMS' and don't gel with Toei's work. : How do you know for certain? Is there some kind of official listing? Shouldn't they be listed in the credits? I mean, I'm a huge fan of TMS's stuff... and this... doesn't look like TMS to my eye. Everyone is waaaaay too off-model. There's not a lot of actual ANIMATION, and TMS is all about the motion. When I wrote that essay a while back about the Animation studios, I had initially thought Toei did all the non-Akom season 3 episodes. I since took the essay down because of inaccuracies. I had a long discussion over at the Allspark (which is now lost after the board clean-up) and apparently it seems the consensus among fans that TMS did "Primitives". Personally, I have no proper source for it (aside from [http://www.imdb.com/company/co0064579/ this] and [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Movie_Shinsha this]) other than upstanding members of the fandom like McFeely and Nevermore as well as tons of others telling me it wasn't Toei.
Looking at "Primitives", the animation most certainly ''isn't'' Toei. Even when Toei was at their best (the Movie, Zone), their work didn't look the same as "Primitives".

Once upon a time, so very many moons ago, I remember Rik Bakke posting a scan of the animation production schedule for the third season on ATT. That, as I recall, (I hope I recall right) had TMS labelled as the animators of "Primitives." TMS on "Call of the Primitives" is long-standing fandom folklore, going back as long as I can remember, but as far as I know there is no actual evidence for the belief. It's entirely possible that it's one of those things (like Romita designing the models) that somebody just kind of guessed at one point and then became taken as true. I vaguely recall somebody that I trust to know what they are talking about stating that they knew for sure TMS was *not* the studio which did CotP, but I'd have to do a lot of digging to find the post in question. --[[User:Steve-o|Steve-o]] 14:27, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
