			:::::::::Japanese doesn't really have a way of indicating plural unless the speaker and listener already know the subject they're talking about, except using counters (certain characters/words to help indicate the number of the subject in question; counting books uses a different term compared to counting pencils). Like I said, it's probably a case of semantics, as well a bit of interpretation than actual translation (we occasionally do have to take some artistic liberties).
