However, my mom (I'm on summer break from college) was able to get tickets for I and some friends to see the film a day early (June 8th) at Cinemark. It didn't seem like a mistake, as it was showing in multiple theaters there, including the XD one, and there were several promotional items available (optimus prime popcorn bucket and photo booth). I know that the IMAX version of the film released early, but this wasn't an IMAX theater.
