Unfortunately for the Quints, [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] broke free when Grimlock trashed the Decepticon base last issue, and ''he'' thinks the core ejection is being done by Megatron—so he prevents it!

Prime and the other Autobots reach the battle beneath and the fight swings against Megatron. Things get even worse when two things conveniently happen at the same time: Optimus senses the presence of [[Primus|something else]] in Grimlock and that same presence grants him power, restoring him to full health; and Perceptor manages to shut down all the Squadron clones. Megatron flees, but his defeat is far from over because Flash ''was'' able to pass on proof that Megatron was dealing with the Quints, turning even the Decepticons against the tyrant!

Unfortunately, this is the last thing Flash will ever do. By the time the other [[Turbomaster]]s got to him, he was damaged beyond repair...

With the Age of Internment over, Perceptor begins to rebuild Grimlock to resemble his old form. Meanwhile, the Quintessons are making a new plan: the power they wanted lay within Prime as well as the planet, and why conquer Cybertron when all they need to do is kidnap one Autobot...?
