But despite his claims he can't get involved, he is ultimately unable to stand by and let the A'ovan be massacred. Ratchet attacks and defeats [[Durguth]], the Thraal leader (who he views as the same "type" as Megatron).

			This victory causes Ratchet to technically become ruler of the Thraal Imperium, something he was aware of from the hacked systems before he went into battle, and he negotiates a ceasefire and eventually an alliance between the two factions.
