Although the Autobots are safe, the earthquake has caused havoc across the city. While investigating the damage, the heroes realize that this is no ordinary natural disaster—something deliberately exploded underground and blew it apart. If the heroes choose to ask around, they discover that some of the bystanders heard a noise just before the earthquake, and others witnessed suspicious individuals.

From here, the party must assist with various search and rescue operations: these include escorting civilians to safety, working to stabilize unsteady buildings, and preventing opportunistic looters from causing more mayhem in the disaster zone.

Each time they complete one of the challenges, the Autobots find a piece of a broken business sign. Assembling all three pieces points them to the direction of [[The Apex]], a building in the Menagerie District—they may potentially work out the location of the villain's hideout early, giving them an edge in the coming encounter.

===Part 3: Going Underground===
In the basement of The Apex, the heroes find the Decepticon [[Spypod]] berating a group of [[Photon (subgroup)|Photon]]s responsible for the botched energon-gathering mission that caused the explosion. When the Autobots attempt to bring her to justice, Spypod fights back using her [[Magma Extractor]] to literally bring down the house on her enemies.

===Part 4: Conclusion===
Whether the Autobots defeat Spypod or allow her to escape, they are hailed as heroes by the citizens of Los Angeles, and thanked for their services!
