Some of his anime credits include of Miyoshi Seikai Nyūdō in Brave10, Shinichiro Tamaki in Code Geass, Tadatomo "Bachi Guu" Ijuin in Green Green, Tsutomu Rokutandou in Marmalade Boy, Kou Hiko in Soul Hunter, Achiral in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal and Nikichi in Negibōzu no Asatarō. His notable dubbing credit was that of The Mole from South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut.
Tanaka had died due to a hemorrhage in his brain stem.
