| Vortex was later charged with guarding the Decepticon Base till Megatron returned to the base. Vortex took his duties very seriously, even to the point of refusing Megatron entry as he had yet to actually return to the base. To aid him in guarding the base, Vortex transformed a helicopter into Mega-Vortex. Fustrated, Megatron called [[Optimus Prime (Kre-O)|Optimus Prime]] to come and attack the Decepticon Base. After the attack successfully scared Vortex away, Megatron return to the base, where a beat-up Vortex returned and welcomed back his master. {{Storylink|A Reliable Warrior!?
