| ===A brief history of the Autobot named Drift===

| Once upon a time, there was a [[Decepticon]] named Deadlock who was recruited by [[Megatron (G1)| Megatron]], believing he was fighting for a brighter future of Cybertron. Later, he caused some serious casualties that caught the attention of [[Turmoil]]. He escaped being executed by the Decepticon, went rogue, and took refuge on a nearby planet where he learned of the [[Circle of Light]] from a [[Wing (G1)| friend]]. Later, Deadlock switched sides and began calling himself his old name, [[Drift (G1)| Drift]]. He defeated some alien slavers and officially ditched the Decepticon ranks. He later tried to attack Turmoil again and, after the attack, joined a group led by [[Kup (G1)| Kup]] and joined the [[Autobot]]s. He would continue to assist the Autobots until they ditched the planet [[Earth]] and won the [[Great War (G1)| war]]. Afterwards, he joined [[Hot Rod (G1)| Rodimus']] crew on the [[Lost Light]] in search of a mystical [[Knights of Cybertron]]. He was infected once and sliced up [[Dent| some innocent robot]]. Drift now essentially hangs around Rodimus on his chain of command on the ship.
