Shadowcaster was the subject of a rather swift yet brutal assassination. The Combaticons had been brought on board to "decapitate" the growing Decepticon insurgency by any means necessary. Shadowcaster found out the hard way that included smoking out Decepticon leaders by bombing their hideout and shooting them in the head... all while observing the chaos from a safe distance. The Coming Storm: Part 3

Perhaps Shadowcaster got the last laugh though, as his base and his leadership role were a trap set by the Decepticon Warlord Deathsaurus to lure the Combaticons away from the Elite Guard for his own twisted purposes. The Coming Storm: Part 4

[edit]
  • Shadowcaster was originally intended to be Fearswoop, but was recolored into a new character due to "Generation 2: Redux"...in which Fearswoop ultimately didn't show up. Oh well!
  • Similarly, one of Shadowcaster's soldiers is also very similar to the Seekers from Generation 1. Actually, he looks a lot like Thrust despite the editor insisting they are indeed separate characters.
