[[Scrapheap (G1)|Scrapheap]]'s punch shatters the capsule [[Hot Rod (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Rodimus Prime]] is being held in, but the being who comes stumbling out is most definitely ''not'' Rodimus Prime: thanks to the [[Seeker (United)|Seeker]]'s machinations, he has been reverted in both form and personality to Hot Rod, shimmering with the light of the [[Matrix of Leadership]]. His experiments disrupted, the Seeker flies into a rage and begins hurling more light-bullets at the two, but the pair shift to vehicle mode and are able to evade the attacks, which instead wind up inadvertently smashing open the capsules containing [[Galvatron (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Galvatron]], [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]], [[Scourge (G1)|Scourge]]. Like Rodimus, they have been reverted to the moment of their recreation by [[Unicron]], and so both their bodies and minds are in a state of flux, as proven by Cyclonus confusedly referring to Galvatron as "[[Megatron (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Megatron]]". Addled state aside, the Decepticons are still very aware of the fact that they are being shot at, so they respond to the Seeker's attacks in kind, blasting at the ceiling. The attacks they unleash prove massively, disproportionately powerful, and Scrapheap deduces that the energies of space-time used by the Seeker to rewind their biological clocks are still lingering in their bodies, increasing their power dramatically. Galvatron and Hot Rod are on the verge of getting into an argument when they realize that the door to the room is beginning to close, so Galvatron transforms—into a new alternate mode that is neither Galvatron's nor Megatron's—and uses the extra energy he now has to blast the wall open. The Autobots and Decepticons make a break for it, with Scrapheap lagging behind, protesting their fast exit as he tries to gather up interesting pieces of junk amongst the rubble.

Freed from their prisons, the Transformers use the powers the Seeker's experiments have given them to turn the tables on their captor.

Synopsis

Scrapheap's punch shatters the capsule Rodimus Prime is being held in, but the being who comes stumbling out is most definitely not Rodimus Prime: thanks to the Seeker's machinations, he has been reverted in both form and personality to Hot Rod, shimmering with the light of the Matrix of Leadership. His experiments disrupted, the Seeker flies into a rage and begins hurling more light-bullets at the two, but the pair shift to vehicle mode and are able to evade the attacks, which instead wind up inadvertently smashing open the capsules containing Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge. Like Rodimus, they have been reverted to the moment of their recreation by Unicron, and so both their bodies and minds are in a state of flux, as proven by Cyclonus confusedly referring to Galvatron as "Megatron". Addled state aside, the Decepticons are still very aware of the fact that they are being shot at, so they respond to the Seeker's attacks in kind, blasting at the ceiling. The attacks they unleash prove massively, disproportionately powerful, and Scrapheap deduces that the energies of space-time used by the Seeker to rewind their biological clocks are still lingering in their bodies, increasing their power dramatically. Galvatron and Hot Rod are on the verge of getting into an argument when they realize that the door to the room is beginning to close, so Galvatron transforms—into a new alternate mode that is neither Galvatron's nor Megatron's—and uses the extra energy he now has to blast the wall open. The Autobots and Decepticons make a break for it, with Scrapheap lagging behind, protesting their fast exit as he tries to gather up interesting pieces of junk amongst the rubble.

  • Furthering the previous chapter's explanation for the translucent blue and purple decos of the United toys the Macrocosmic Seekers story was produced to promote, this chapter further notes that (at least) Galvatron's body is in such a state of flux that even his alternate mode is new, explaining away the difference between the United Galvatron figure and Galvatron's cartoon model (since this story is set in Generation 1 cartoon continuity).
