This article is about the Micromaster weapon-slash-legs. For the Fall of Cybertron weapon, see E.D.K. TechVolt.
Call that a weapon, yeah? Well good luck to ya mate, 'cos I wouldn't have the f***in' nerve.

When Alan brings out the devastating Giga-Techvolt (ギガテックボルト Gigatekkuboruto) cannon, the Decepticons start shaking and running for cover. The Liner Team's electrical warrior's cool, detached manner is made all the more creepy when he's toting around a gigantic double-barreled electrical cannon.

It doubles as a snazzy pair of pants.

This weapon is also sometimes used by D-Go.

Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

[edit]
  • Sixliner (Micromaster Sixteam, 1991)
  • ID number: C-370
Released in the Return of Convoy part of the original Takara Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline, the Giga-Techvolt (not named in this release) is... well, it's basically Sixliner's pelvis/thighs piece mounted on top of any of the compatible Liner Team members in train mode (though the instruction booklet specifically assigns the weapon to D-Go), the knee-clips being the "barrels".
This mold was also used to make the equivalent weapon/body part of Sixtrain and Universe Rail Racer, though those have yet to be officially named.

Micromaster

[edit]
Alan, you wanker, until you can use this thing properly, I'm taking it back.
  • Alan (Micromaster, 2002)
  • ID number: 2
  • Accessories: Sixliner legs/"Giga-Techvolt"
Part of the first The Transformers: Micromaster assortment, the finally-named Giga-Techvolt had its silver thigh decals replaced with paint operations, while the hipplate decals were not replaced with anything.
Since the team was split up into individual boxes for sale, so too were the combiner kibble pieces; the legs/Techvolt inexplicably came with its carrier Alan, who forms an arm. It also doesn't mount to Alan very well, basically needing to be wedged in at an angle to stay in place.

Notes

[edit]
  • The Giga-Techvolt's name comes from the much later Micromaster fiction; it was not named in the original Return of Convoy Sixliner instruction booklet. Also, though the Techvolt is mentioned in Alan's Micromaster bio, his instructions do not otherwise give any indication that the leg-piece can be mounted on anyone's train mode.
