The name or term "Cosmic Rust" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Cosmic Rust (disambiguation).

Developed by the mad scientist Tarantulas, the Cosmic Rust Blaster is a weapon of devastating power, utilizing one of the most caustic and dangerous toxins in the known universe, it can reduce even the densest of metals to a puddle of oxidised goo in seconds. Constructed of special polymers, it is wielded at great risk to the user, as the slightest misfire or backfire can result in catastrophic damage.[1]
