Not sure of the page (looking at the IDW collection #4, pg 133) I think the cell of Grimlock pounding Snarl's head into the ground is an homage to Devastator similarly pounding Sludge in the 1986 movie. In the movie, there's the loony toons effect on Sludge's eyes popping out, in this cell, there's a glowing effect. Two cells later Grimlock pounds Sludge's head into the ground without the glowing effect. Thoughts? Can I add this to the items of note? | |||

I thought of 'Jim-Bob' as a reference to Jim Salicrup and Bob Budiansky--NOT as a first name
[edit]Jim Salicrup and Bob Budiansky were instrumental to Marvel's Transformers series (and its spinoffs) of the '80s.
Jim Salicrup wrote Transformers #2-4 (1984) and edited Transformers Universe #1-4 (1986).
Bob Budiansky edited Transformers #1-4 (1984); wrote Transformers #5-15, 17-32, 35-42 and 44-55 (1984-1989); wrote and consult-edited Transformers Universe #1-4, edited Transformers: The Movie #1-3 (1986), drew the covers of Transformers #14, 29, 31, 45 and 47; and co-penciled Transformers #55. --Jeff39042 23:51, 25 July 2009 (EDT)

86 movie homage?
