2012 was the third year of the Transformers Hall of Fame. The automatically inducted Transformers characters for this year were Grimlock, Jazz, and Shockwave with Wheeljack being inducted by fan vote. The inducted humans were Chris Latta and Simon Furman.
Nomination process
[edit]Running up until March 1, 2012, Transformers fan sites held individual polls to determine the nominees for the final ballot. The final fan-decided nominees, revealed on the Hasbro site on March 8, were:
The voting to decide the final inductee ran from March 9 to March 21, and as usual was conducted via a poll on hasbro.com.

- Arcee's bio mentions that she fought Shokaract, likely in an attempt to include the Beast Era/BotCon version of the character which was her first toy, but Arcee was introduced the year after Shokaract was defeated. Maybe she was just off-camera in J'nwan.
- Clarification from Hasbro that Beast Wars Megatron was a different character from the already-inducted Megatron resulted in the purple dinosaur being considered eligible for the first time.
