The Kalis' Lament is a warship belonging to the Decepticon faction, specifically its pirate department. It has the graceful form of a cephalopod and is captained by the legendary Cannonball. The Kalis' Lament is capable of warpspeed and contains at minimum one smaller scout/escape shuttle.
The Kalis' Lament's crew consists of at least:
- Cannonball (captain)
- Brushguard
- Skywarp
- Runamuck
- Buzzsaw

[edit]The crew of the Kalis' Lament was itching for something to do when one of their probes, which they periodically sent out to nearby solar systems to look for plunderable places, returned. The log it contained showed an Autobot ship, the Star Arrow being shot down and crashing on the planet Sandokan. Scans of the ship indicated that there was a Force Chip on board, which piqued the interest of the crew. Cannonball, however, wasn't as thrilled because he knew that Sandokan was a dangerous place. Instead, he contacted the bounty hunter Astrotrain to get the Force Chip for him.
While Astrotrain got to his task, Cannonball and four others boarded a shuttle and headed for the planet to keep tabs. When Astrotrain was losing against the semi-combined forces of the Autobots and the resident monster Synthos, who carried around a device at least as interesting as the Force Chip, Cannonball's men moved in and attacked Synthos. The Autobots saw in this an opportunity to steal the shuttle, since they had been unable to repair the Star Arrow. By the time they had taken control of the shuttle, the Decepticons were moving in to kill Synthos. The Autobots used the shuttle's tractor beam to trap the Decepticons and dropped them off far away from the creature. They then used the shuttle to get away from the planet before the Kalis' Lament would come looking for its missing crew.
When the Kalis' Lament arrived at Sandokan, Cannonball had Astrotrain and his Mini-Con team brought aboard for repairs while he organized a second attack on Synthos, this time killing him and stealing his power source. Following this, the Kalis' Lament left to find more loot elsewhere in the universe. The Dark Heart of Sandokan
