The man-animals attempted to defend their home from invading Cybertronians under the command of Mindset, who questioned whether or not these "puddles of organic matter" qualified as life at all. The man-animals fought using spears and war cries but were obviously outmatched by the energy weapons of the invaders. Their certain genocide was averted by the appearance of the Swarm, which had no desire for creatures of flesh and blood and instead devoured the Cybertronians. Swarm
