- Dial-Tone is a member of G.I. Joe from the G.I. Joe portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
A geek's geek, Dial-Tone built his own crystal radio set by 10, joined a CB network by 14, and had his own ham radio station operational by 16, all of which was accomplished using equipment that he made from scratch. He stands as the team's elite communications operative and unofficial weapons tech, but is also pretty handy to have in a fight.

When the Joes learned that the town of Milleville was a base of operation for Cobra, Dial-Tone was sent as part of a team to investigate it. Their information turned out to be accurate, and conveying Hawk's orders, Dial-Tone sent in an underground infiltration squad, as well as Storm Shadow’s ninja squad to invade the town. Goin' South He later met with the ninja and recon teams as they exited the town. Hawk then informed the lot of them that the higher ups were pulling the plug on the mission. Sucker Punch
