Transformers vs. G.I. Joe

Clyde was "liberated from a poacher" and recruited into G.I. Joe. Eventually, he was outfitted with some high-tech weaponry and placed in U.S.7, a team of non-human G.I. Joes. Their first mission was to escort G.I.Rockets to Cybertron. En route, they were accosted by the Oktober Guard, who boarded their ship. Just as a firefight broke out between both team, the battle was interrupted by Fortress Maximus snatching U.S.7's rocket out of the sky and gobbling up both teams! Form Follows Function Within Fortress Maximus, most of U.S.7 fell under the influence of Blackarachnia, a Decepticon responsible for turning the once noble Autobot into a lumbering brute. When an infiltration team was sent in to retrieve U.S.7, the first member they found was Clyde, who had somehow been left unaffected by Blackarachnia's mind-control. He brought Arcee and Tunnel Rat to Maximus's brain, where they were able to defeat the spider and free all those under her thrall. The rescuers and the rescuees then stormed Megatron's throne room. Though the animals managed to escape, everyone else got captured by the Decepticobra alliance. Everybody Hates Metroplex After the end of the war, Clyde and the rest of U.S.7 took up residence with Snake-Eyes and Scarlett at their peaceful log cabin. The War Never Ends

Notes

• Clyde isn't normally affiliated with G.I. Joe; outside of Transformers fiction, he is most often seen as the pet of the Dreadnok Gnawgahyde. The line stating he was "liberated from a poacher" in his short bio from "Form Follows Function" is a reference to this.
