- Springer is an Autobot from the Animated continuity family.
Springer was a top student of Sensei Yoketron and member of the Cyber-Ninja Corps during the Great War. His expertise lies in swordfighting, and he is equipped with a light saber and jump jet modifications.

[edit]- Although Springer's head design and weapon of choice are homages to his Generation 1 counterpart, according to early comments by character designer Derrick J. Wyatt, he may not be a Triple Changer due to triple changing apparently driving you crazy in Animated.[1] Besides, he can't be a helicopter anyway, since Autobots don't fly (usually).
- An initially proposed exclusive toy for BotCon 2011 was a redeco of Swindle into Springer.[2]
