Glacius is a Decepticon Mini-Con from the Robots in Disguise portion of the Aligned continuity family.
I'm Mr. White Christmas, I'm Mr. Snow
I'm Mr. Icicle, I'm Mr. 10 below!

Glacius is slightly more reasonable and upbeat than his buddy Swelter, although that's not saying all that much. This Mini-Con uses his icy blasts to freeze his enemies solid; when combined with Swelter's (literal) firepower the duo can melt and re-freeze metal to trap their enemies. Although both Mini-Cons hired themselves out to various Decepticons back on Cybertron, they've fallen in with Razorpaw since arriving on Earth, a less-than-ideal partnership. This newfound fear of their master is pretty much the only thing keeping both Mini-Cons from going their own way.

Friends call me Snow Miser; whatever I touch
turns to snow in my clutch!
I'm too much!

Swelter and Glacius regularly teamed up with Decepticons. They were imprisoned on the Alchemor only to be freed when the ship crashed on Earth. There they teamed up with Razorpaw, despite the fact he treated them poorly. When Optimus Prime's team appeared on the hunt for Razorpaw, they attacked the former Autobot leader and even defeated Drift's Mini-Cons Jetstorm and Slipstream, but retreated when faced by the other Autobots. They brought the team of trackers to Razorpaw's attention, and accompanied him as he followed them to a military base where the pair succeeded in trapping Drift and Sideswipe in a metal cocoon. They followed that up by taking out Optimus himself, but it turned out Optimus had been feigning, and while the pair argued with Razorpaw, Optimus demolished the trio. Cover Me

Glacius's stasis pod was later taken back to Cybertron by Optimus Prime, Windblade and Ratchet. Decepticon Island (Part 2)

Robots in Disguise (2015)

[edit]
I never wanna know a day that's over 40 degrees
I'd rather have it 30, 20, 10, 5, and let it freeze!
  • Mini-Con Glacius (Mini-Con, 2015)
  • Accessories: Armor sprue (chest armor, battle mask, left & right ice cannons, 2 nozzles, 2 ice-effects)
Available as part of the fourth wave of Robots in Disguise single-packed Mini-Cons, Glacius is a redeco of Swelter; as such, he shares engineering with Divebomb but is a new mold altogether. He transforms from a small humanoid robot into a Cybertronian torpedo in a single step. As a Torpedo-style Mini-Con, he can attach to and launch from Deployer Fracture's sidecar. He comes with a number of clear plastic accessories attached to a Decepticon-insignia-shaped sprue, which can be attached using tabs and slots.
His stock photo (on the right) has a few mistakes. The flame parts on his legs are facing down, and the blue flamethrower parts on his arms are swapped, so the hoses meant to go on the back of his arms are facing forward. His nozzles that plug into his hands are missing entirely.
This wave was largely skipped by larger brick-and-mortar stores in the US, but began to filter out through discount chains like Marshalls and Five Below by the 2016 holiday season.

Notes

[edit]
  • Glacius's character model is a modification of Divebomb's model.
