2005 IDW continuity

[edit]

When the Vis Vitalis was damaged (apparently while rescuing orphans from an exploding sun) its crew sought out the Lost Light to arrange a ship-to-ship jumpstart. Thunderclash brought Paddox aboard Rodimus's ship, unaware that his first officer was secretly a group of omnicombinational Stentarians, spying on the Autobots for the Ammonite faction. After sixteen million years of stalemate in the war with their enemies, the Terradores, the assassination of the Terradorian Eternal Sovereign Imperius Drax on Hedonia had allowed a ruthless new leader to take command and in response the Ammonites were making a "big push", recalling all of their deep cover agents with instructions to bring back any useful technology they might be able to steal. Revealing his true nature, "Paddox" held Thunderclash hostage and demanded that the Lost Light (with its superior quantum engines) be surrendered to the Ammonite war effort but was ultimately foiled when he was taken unaware by Swerve and knocked into his component parts with Rung's alternate mode.
