Concluding that the threat the Transformers pose to Earth has become too great, Joe Colton resolves to use the alien obelisk known as the Talisman to destroy them all, along with their homeworld. Knowing that his G.I. Joe team will not go along with the plan, Colton adopts the identity of "Baron Ironblood" to act outside the law, and recruits a team of the most dangerous criminals on Earth to aid him in his plan: European super-criminal Doctor X, along with her ninja aide Storm Shadow and Red Shadows ninja legion; metal-skinned munitioner Destro; Colton's former Adventure Team comrade/current leader of V.E.N.O.M. Miles Mayhem, Microspace minister of war Shazraella, and master cyberneticist Garrison Kreiger.
