Since it wasn't there, they blew the planet apart to show how intimidating they were. The Autobot Supreme Commander Victory Saber rapidly coordinated the evacuation of as many people as he could, including a young boy named Cain, but in the process failed to escape himself and was trapped on the surface when the Decepticon Generals cracked the planet like an egg.
